About me:
"My flesh yearns...for the tombworld."

Not truly alive, yet not dead, I drift through this cursed existence like a corpse without a grave. My wanderings have taken me to many lands, all throughout Europe and even the desolate shores of the New World. During my time in Stockholm, it became like a home to me. However, peace is found primarily in the solitude of the forest, the endless void of the night sky and freezing winds. To rest in a cold cemetery, gazing at the moon, is far more appealing than any social setting. Many aspects of the modern world are displeasing, and the same can be said of most humans. Anticipation builds as the funeral draws ever nearer...

Black Metal vocalist. Bands include Nattsvargr, Blackmoon and Bloodfrost. Previously in Mutilation (1996-1999), Nocturnal Abyss (1999-2004) and Morbid Funeral (2001). Have occasionally played guitar/bass, with mixed results. I am also the sole creative force behind the Rites of the Black Moon Webzine. To visit the site, click the image below.

Metal DJ, host of The Abyss since 2002; playing black, death, doom, thrash and speed metal. The show can now be heard here, Saturdays from 23.00-1.00 (Central European Time) and 5pm-7pm (Eastern Time).

Hej back! At last I actually got noticed when I got a new comment. I don't trust myspace that way though, so it's better if you send e-mails. More reliable.

Well, hopefully things will change for the better soon. Life can certainly be a struggle at times, no doubt about it. Musick works well as a positive distraction from such things, both as something to be listened to and to be created, though. MDF will be, hmm, fun, I hope. Although I am not looking forward to the actual flight, as the idea of being trapped inside a small area with lots of people for hours isn't all that appealing. Oh well!

Indeed they have! Been busy with school and various other things. Life is pretty good these days. For a change. My final exam was today and all that remains is turning in an essay that's due wednesday, and I'm done for now. MDF is coming up soon, so hopefully the ash clouds from this volcanic eruption in Iceland won't fuck things up for me, hehe. And you? Cheers.

Yes the leaving part is always hard when its like your leaving part of you behind " your soul " and the memories " bad " ones come back to haunt when your back in the modern world ugh its horrible to leave such serenity and that ancient sanctuary and have to walk on the outside. You should go to the wilderness more. I have decided to move to the countryside as i cant take the city anymore but its for the better. If you ever come to Eire let me know and il show you some very ancient places here. you would feel better.

Hey man hope things are better now for you , when something goes bad which is 99.9 % of the time you just get to the point were you dont give a fuck anymore. I find writing and just making music is the only way to keep some sanity. Things here are better than they were so i cant complain. Always someone worse off. How about you how is ur band going ?

You speak sense. I suppose I should have elaborated a little; I certaintly wouldn't want to change anything about those old bands, which are the majority of the bands I listen to, and I agree that the Abyss sound etc lacks atmosphere and identity. I am definitely in favor of a more analog production that favors character and identity. A band like Negative Plane is a band that manage to do that these days. They are fucking killer! I wouldn't want to live in NYC. Not. At. All. So many people in such a, relatively, small area. I'd be miserable! While things obviously aren't as bad in Oslo there certaintly are a lot of undesirables to be encountered on the subway. Hmm, can't say I've ever been into Gorgoroth that much. They are okay, and have a few killer songs, but that is about it.

Yeah, I live like 5 minutes from the subway, so I never really need a car. Although it would be practical from time to time. In many parts of the US I would presume that the opposite is the case. Unless one lives in NYC or something. Eventually I have to get my drivers licence back, though. But there's a lot of money involved, so.. Razor definitely can get the blood pumping, although I find the drumming to be somewhat weak at times. Not to mention the crappy artwork, hehe. But overall they are fucking great!
